wasted spaces project

I began this project by taking photos of places in Liverpool that I would consider 'wasted spaces'...

I started thinking about trying to somehow fill the biggest 'wasted space' there is - the sky.

During my research I came across the artist Rob Bliss and his work 'Grand Rapids' in which he released thousands of coloured paper airplanes off various buildings, whilst 20,000+ people watched below. You can watch the video on youtube, the link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXxJ9i91vfE (to be honest it does go on abit, but its still ok). I think this would be a great way to fill the sky and also incorporates the other side to this project (time wasting) as the process of making paper airplanes is generally considered a waste of time.
